First Bank’s LIVE at the Lyric features Nanseera, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with an old soul and a distinctive style. The mixed-race, London-born performer grew up in Uganda and Ethiopia, moving to the United States for high school and college, during which she spent a semester in France. All her travels and adjustments bring a nuanced worldview into her music. Taking inspiration from artists like Tracy Chapman, Lianne LaHavas, and Sheryl Crow, she weaves together poetic stories of losing home, love, and sense of self, then somehow finding them again. Nanseera has performed for audiences on three continents and recently completed her first tour "The Colours Tour" and subsequently released her singles "Colours" and "Still Cry" from her EP “I Wish You Love” which she released in June.
