Join the AC-S Arts Council on January 29 at 3 pm at Scottsville Baptist Church to enjoy in recital, Jordan Amburgey, pianist with Hannah Amburgey, French horn.

About Jordan Amburgey

Jordan Amburgey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Campbellsville University and is currently working on both a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy degree, and a Master of Music in Conducting degree, both from Campbellsville University. He began his musical endeavors at the age of five, when he began piano lessons. By the age of eight, he became a church pianist, which he has continued to this day. He has studied piano with Jennifer Bersaglia, Dr. Donald Speer, Dr. Wesley Roberts, and Dr. Bill Budai. Some of his notable achievements include being a member of the Kentucky Opry Junior Pros, selected by audition for a From the Top Matinee Performance, being selected by audition for the Governor's School for the Arts, winning first prize in the Kentucky Music Teachers Association Bluegrass State Piano Competition, and winning first place in the MTNA Young Artist Piano Competition for the state of Kentucky. In addition to playing piano, other musical interests include conducting and composing. Mr. Amburgey has conducted the Campbellsville University Orchestra on multiple occasions and is an award-winning composer. He currently serves as part-time staff accompanist and piano technician at Campbellsville University. 

About Hannah Amburgey

Hannah Amburgey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree and a Master of Music in Instrumental Performance degree with a French Horn emphasis from Campbellsville University. Mrs. Amburgey has studied French Horn with Joni Farmer and Diana Morgen, member of the Louisville Orchestra. She has participated in numerous honors ensembles throughout her career, including the Kentucky Baptist Youth Orchestra, All-District Bands, Honor Bands, Campbellsville University Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, where she served as principal horn, and the Kentucky Intercollegiate Band for four years. She is currently a member of Sacred Winds, a semi-professional Christian ensemble based in Kentucky.
